Wayne was born and raised in Florence County. At an early age he became a member of Savannah Grove Baptist Church, where he loved to sing on the youth choir. He attended Greenwood Elementary School, Southside Middle School, and graduated from South Florence High School where he played varsity baseball and football. He furthered his education at South Carolina State University where received a Bachelors of Arts degree in psychology. At the time of his passing, Wayne was a graduate student at Liberty University. He was on a quest to become a licensed practicing counselor.
In December 1998 he united in marriage to his love, Pamela Bland. It was then they began a life together in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2000, they were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Morghan Kaleila. Wayne, Pam & Morghan attended Henderson Grove Presbyterian Church, where he was active until his time of passing.
Wayne had a gift for the game of baseball, and a love for music and reading. His favorite author, Tom Clancy, could never write enough books for him to read. He was a good, humble, loving person to all who met him.
Left in loving memories are: his wife Pam and their daughter Morghan; his parents, Chester and Mary Bostick of Florence, SC; his father and mother -in-law, Horace and Novia Bland of Florence, SC; one sister-in-law, Sandra Bland of Florence, SC; a niece, Yvonda Bland of Charlotte, NC; a special friend, Ulyless Gaither-Roach of Rock Hill, SC; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
